The Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and Trick Novice (TKN) titles are American Kennel Club awards. The CGC is designed to teach responsible dog ownership and certify that dogs have the behaviors needed to be reliable family and community members. The TKN is a fun activity that earns a title and increases bonding with your dog. The equipment required for these classes is a flat (buckle) collar or a martingale collar or a slip (choke) collar. Body harnesses are also acceptable. Pinch collars, E-collars, and head halters are not permitted by the AKC. Retractable leads are also not permitted. The session will consist of 4 classes. Classes 1 through 3 will be CGC training and learning novice tricks. Class 4 will be CGC and TKN testing. WHEN: Tuesday evenings ... CLASSES: June 28, July 5, July 12, and TEST: July19 TIME: 7:00-8:00 WHERE: the field behind the Sinking Spring Fire Co. (836 Ruth St., SInking Spring) COST: $40 for members. $50 for non members $15 for test only The number of teams accepted will be limited and club members will receive priority. Consider attending this class to improve your dog’s social skills, have fun with tricks, and possibly earn American Kennel Club titles. CGC, Canine Good Citizen
The session will consist of 4 classes. Classes 1 through 3 will be CGC training and learning novice tricks. Class 4 will be CGC and TKN testing. The classes will be held four consecutive Thursdays beginning June 28, July 5, July 12, and TEST: July19 from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the 4H training center. The cost will be $40 for members, $50 for non-members, and $15 to only take the test on week 4.
