Welcome to Berks County Dog Training Club (BCDTC)
The Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and Trick Novice (TKN) titles are American Kennel Club awards. The CGC is designed to teach responsible dog ownership and certify that dogs have the behaviors needed to be reliable family and community members. The TKN is a fun activity that earns a title and increases bonding with your dog. The equipment required for these classes is a flat (buckle) collar or a martingale collar or a slip (choke) collar. Body harnesses are also acceptable. Pinch collars, E-collars, and head halters are not permitted by the AKC. Retractable leads are also not permitted.
The session will consist of 4 classes. Classes 1 through 3 will be CGC training and learning novice tricks. Class 4 will be CGC and TKN testing.
